The CONSOLE platform was used extensively by external validators in recent months, and the improvements focused on usability based on the feedback received.
Project-level scan continuity is ensured through the clues deduplication procedure. Security clues that were present in previous scans are automatically identified and marked as duplicates, propagating the existing verdicts and comments. Developers can filter the new clues and focus on them. CI/CD automation is improved by exposing a public API, which enables project-level operations such as automatically starting a new scan, downloading existing clues, or uploading new clues from a third-party security tool. The security tools are more customizable. One can add an exclusion list to filter out unwanted clues, such as those in test folders. Finally, CONSOLE stepped into the AI era by enabling an AI assistant powered by Mistral to analyse and explain security tool outputs, and to make security recommendations for developers.
Work is ongoing to streamline the scanning and reporting pipelines, reinforce traceability of security findings, and optimise the orchestration layer that coordinates the platform’s various security tools. These improvements aim to make the remediation workflow smoother and the vulnerability dashboards more responsive, addressing one of the platform's most consistently praised aspects while pushing it further.
The goal is to lower the technical barrier for SME teams that may lack dedicated in-house security expertise by adding an additional layer of guidance to the platform’s existing automated tools.
