The CONSOLE platform is approaching its final development stages, where our focus is to improve stability and to make it production-ready. The External Validation Activities have brought new insights into the stakeholder needs, so we aslo implemented new features to improve the security, usability and overall to remove the integration friction.
The Admin Dashboard is an example of such a feature, in which an organisation administrator can have a quick overview of the security posture by visualizing plots and statistics. The projects reporting page has also been updated, allowing the developers to filter the clues and focus on the important ones. Clues deduplication will transfer all the insights (like user comments) if the same security clue is encountered in new jobs.
One of the features requested by the EVA partners was the GitLab integration, allowing the creation of new scan jobs from GitLab repositories (we previously only supported GitHub). CONSOLE can also integrate in the CI/CD pipeline not only by triggering security scans automatically, but also by reporting completed jobs via webhooks. In the future, we will focus on implementing more of the EVA suggestions and reaching the overall maturity level necessary for using CONSOLE in real-world production scenarios.
